76β³ Γ 80β³ Β· Maximum width for couples who want their own space
King Mattresses on Sale
A King is 76 inches wide and 80 inches long, 16 inches wider than a Queen at the same length. That extra width is the whole point: each partner gets roughly the width of a Twin XL, which is why Kings are popular with couples who sleep at different temperatures, move during the night, or share the bed with kids and pets.
The Kings listed here are authentic luxury showroom and closeout models. Because a King is a larger investment, the savings on closeout inventory are especially noticeable compared with retail pricing.

King vs Queen: is the extra width worth it?
If your bedroom can hold it, a King is the more comfortable choice for two adults. The trade-off is room and bedding: a King works best in a room of about 12 by 12 feet, and sheets, comforters and frames cost a little more. In a smaller primary bedroom, a Queen often leaves the room feeling less cramped.
A King and a California King are close in size but not the same shape. The King is wider; the California King is longer. If neither of you is very tall, the standard King is usually the better fit.
Moving a King mattress
Large mattresses are heavy and awkward on narrow staircases and tight apartment hallways. Measure the path from the front door to the bedroom before you order. Delivery teams can set up in the room so you are not carrying it yourself.
If access is tight or you want independent adjustable-base control for each side, a Split King, which is two Twin XL mattresses side by side, is easier to move through narrow spaces.
Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions of a King mattress?
A standard King is 76 inches wide by 80 inches long, about 6 feet 4 inches by 6 feet 8 inches.
How much bigger is a King than a Queen?
A King is 16 inches wider than a Queen and the same length. Each person on a King has about 38 inches of width, compared with 30 inches on a Queen.
What bed frame and sheets do I need for a King?
You need a frame and bedding labeled King. They are not interchangeable with California King sizes, which are narrower and longer.
Can I inspect a King mattress before paying?
Yes. Every order is inspect-before-payment: the mattress is delivered and set up, and you pay after you have looked it over in your room.
